Changing ODBC Drivers
SQL 7.0. I have a number of remote servers that I
recently inspected to ensure all was going well. One on
the checks was the ODBC driver used for the System DSN. I
noted that all sites except one are using the SQLServer
Driver 30.70.09.61. I have one server running
2000.80.528.00. The ODBC connection f ...

SQL Query Analyzer Unable to connect to server
Sounds like a DNS issue.
One thing you might try is to check the Alias under your
Client Network Utility. Make sure that the correct IP
address is installed.
We had a similar problem recently and it turned out to be
a setup issue with a router and its DNS configuration.

Decimal place drops during updates via ODBC
Hi everyone,
We have a COBOL (gasp!) application that is using the ODBC API to interface with SQL Server. The ODBC implementation is v2.5 (which is unfortunately dictated by some middleware that we use).
We're seeing a strange, intermittent situation where once in a while, an update to a decimal(12,2) colu ...
