I am trying to install MDAC 2.8 onto a workstation, but
keep getting the following error message:
Setup could not complete. Setup cannot be completed
because an error encountered during setup.
Has anyone come across this error before? How did you
manage to resolved it? We are currently using W2K

Where might the BottleNeck be?
I have an VBA application which queries data from an sql server. Then
converts the data into an array and passes the array to a com server which
does computations.
This procedure worked failry fast under Jet (on the local client), but it is
noticeably slower with sql server residing on another machine.

System Time
Hi All,
I have got a cluster setup which has 4 nodes in it.
I am changing the time zone on one of the node(publisher) to
US-PST(GMT-8:00)
and then changing the time to say 9:30PM, after 20 minutes or so the time is
getting reset
to the actual time in US-PST(GMT-8:00) time zone.

ObjectView accessing SQL Server 2000 through ODBC
Question: Can ObjectView access SQL Server 2000
ObjectView is not supported anymore by ComputerAssociates (at least could not find any support). I believe ObjectView build 16 bit apps so if that is the case can the ODBC thunker be used with a 16 bit obvodbc.dll to access SQL Server 2000?

I would like to install the IIS4 lockdown on my windows nt
4.0 server. We need to do a FTP process. However, it

IIS4 lockdown install conflicts with MS SQL 7.0
I need to install IIS4 lockdown for FTP services.
However, when i installed it, it caused problems with my
MS SQL 7.0 installation. I had to re-installed the old
