Performance problem
Hello,
I have a multiuser Access 2000 application that uses an SQL Server 2000 back
end, using ODBC linked tables. Some of the larger tables are pushing 100 K
records with 20 to 30 fields
At the client's facility the performance is good to very good, at my office
it is very poor. Some operations that takes a second or two at the client's
takes half a minute to a minute at the office.
At first I did not worry about it because our old data center, which runs
several dozen Web sites, had network and bandwidth problems, so I thought I
was stuck in traffic. In fact, sometimes the SQL Server connection timed out
when I was trying to browse a large table
I finally moved my operation to our office where we just do development work
and I found that the performance is still n
